Association Femmes d’Europe a.i.s.b.l. is a non-political, philanthropic organization. Its membership numbers 1000 women, for the most part nationals from the Member States of the European Union, all of whom work for the Association as volunteers. Together, inspired by a bond of friendship, they strive to alleviate the hardships of the neediest people across the world The Association finances those small humanitarian projects which fall through the net of government aid or the large NGOs. In their work to combat poverty, the Association concentrates most on projects which help train women or further the education of children, both aims of fundamental importance if one wishes to raise the standard of living of the poor and needy.  To date, since it was founded, the Association has handed out Euros 6,600,000, financing some 1750 projects. Each year, the money raised is distributed to projects in the Member States of the European Union and in the developing world. Some of the budget is reserved for Emergency Aid. Administrative costs always remain below 5% of the total budget. The Association can guarantee that all the donations go directly to the projects selected to help the poor and needy across the world.    

 Each request for aid is examined most carefully by a special committee set up to study and select the projects. Once selected and funded, each project is followed up to ensure that our donation has been used for the purpose requested.
